Unleashing the Power of the Williamson County Orchestra

The Williamson County Orchestra (WCSO) is a passionate group of amateur musicians who strive to provide quality entertainment to their audience. It takes a great deal of commitment and dedication to master the musical repertoire and perform at a professional level. The orchestra is always looking for highly motivated and musically talented high school students who can commit for a year or more. The instrumentation of the orchestra consists of strings, brass, wind instruments, percussion and harp, allowing them to perform a wide variety of pieces.

The Junior Orchestra (WCJO), conducted by Mrs. Melissa Edgington, is an intermediate string orchestra with violin, viola, cello and bass as its instrumentation. It is designed for musically talented and highly motivated high school string students. The Williamson County Guitar Society recently welcomed one of Europe's best guitarists, Cristiano Porqueddu.

On June 19, Mars Petcare will join the celebration and the Williamson County Youth Orchestra (WCYO) and the Youth Orchestra (WCJO) will hold auditions on Saturday, August 9.Prospective musicians usually sit down with the orchestra during a practice session to determine if they can meet the level of performance required by the members of the orchestra. The WCSO is an incredible opportunity for young musicians to hone their skills and gain invaluable experience in a professional setting. With its varied repertoire and dedicated members, it is sure to provide an unforgettable experience for all involved.
