The Williamson County Symphony Orchestra is a passionate organization that brings exquisite music to communities throughout Williamson County, Texas. Founded in 2003, the Orchestra provides an opportunity for adult non-professional musicians and talented students to perform in a dedicated orchestral setting. The Orchestra's inaugural concert season was a great success, and since then, it has continued to captivate audiences with its performances. The Orchestra is directed by M L Daniels, its designated resident composer. He works with 45 musicians from the Williamson County Symphony Orchestra to create a unique and enjoyable experience for the audience.
John Gordon organized four concerts, beginning with the first at the Texas Ballroom in Sun City in Georgetown, Texas. Secretary Sara Manning kept all participating musicians informed about the Orchestra's activities during the fall. The Orchestra's repertoire includes classic pieces, movie themes and more. Rainey programmed the concert with the best pieces that the orchestra had performed in its first three years of concerts. Rainey had directed twenty-four practices working on enough pieces to guarantee the board of directors that the Williamson County Symphony Orchestra would be able to launch its inaugural concert season in the spring of 2003. The Williamson County Symphony Orchestra continues to bring joy and entertainment to its audiences through its performances of classic pieces, movie themes and more.
