Two years ago, a group of musicians got together with the goal of forming an orchestra in Williamson County. Numerous practices under the direction of Dr Thomas Rainey have helped 60 volunteer musicians bring the orchestra to life. The musicians spend hours each week to perfect the playing of the pieces. But their effort is just part of the task of fully developing an orchestra.
Without support from a broader segment of the civic-minded citizens of Williamson County, the glorious role that a symphony orchestra can provide to the fine arts environment will be diminished. An orchestra and the ensembles that will flourish within its musicaians can bring beauty to children, comfort to the aged, majesty to the religious seasons, and pure joy for all.
The Williamson County Symphony Orchestra needs you, those who enjoy our music, to join with us as we develop our orchestra. We need your moral support, a small amount of your time and a wee bit of your money. Please consider joining our Society.
